What to bring
We’ve put together a small list of things you need to bring with you to one of our LAN parties. This will ensure you get the best possible experience while at one of our events.
First, and most important, is a device to play the game on. All of our events are BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) this can be a desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet or a even a phone. As long as it is powerful enough to play the game on. This leads nicely into….
Second, you will need to an up to date copy of Minecraft, there are several different versions, each of which is designed for a different device. The game makers ensure that the games are up to date, and release patches that will update the game when the device is connected to the internet. Its a good idea to keep the game up to date at all times, allowing you to take advantage of the new content, and ensuring you keep safe while online. More information on the different versions can be found at the following link
Third, power cables, charges and peripherals. Nothing more frustrating than running out of power and not having your charger, or forgetting you power cables and not being able to play. Also, if bringing a desktop computer or a laptop, don’t forget to pack a mouse, mouse mat and keyboard, if needed.
Last, headphones, which are are totally optional. Sometimes it can get a bit loud with everyone talking, and we do like to play music. If you want less interruption and more game play, then headphones will do the trick.
The above is a guideline only, if you are unsure on what to bring with you on the day please let us know and we will be happy to help.
